Solutions Accounting opened its doors January 2006. The goal of the firm was to offer services at a C-Suite level while providing compliance, risk mitigation, and business advisory. The ability to hold an owner’s hand while focusing on growth. Solutions Accounting is data driven while keeping the company financial wellbeing in mind. To offer the tools and resources scalable to companies as their growth requires. To offer better reporting and understanding of what the numbers mean in achieving a profit.

Cathy Rypma, CEO and Founder
Cathy has 30+ years of experience working with Accounting, Finance, and Financial Systems. Her early career began with a top Fortune 50 (fifty) company, General Dynamics, when recruited out of New Mexico State University. She progressively attained higher level accounting positions working in corporate, including Controller and Director of Accounting. 15 years ago, Cathy changed her focus to medium and small businesses working on an independent basis. Cathy’s goal is to assist in following sound GAAP procedures while making the accounting systems more efficient in reporting, monitoring, and implementing benchmarks necessary for growth and stability. She has served on the Board of Directors for a local community provider focused on children and adults with physical, behavioral and developmental disabilities, and a preschool board.
Clarissa Dixon, Office Assistant
Clarissa is our resident intern. She acts as a liaison between clients and other staff. She helps with basic system needs and tasks. She is our girl Friday and internal Genius Bar.

Jay Rypma, COO
Jay was recruited out of New Mexico State University by a multi-national oil company. Jay’s progressive responsibilities included management, and cost accounting. His career included capital assets management and international internal auditor. Jay obtained a breadth of knowledge on many subjects that can be leveraged for the small business owner. Jay wants to get back to the basics of accounting and help more people grow. He loves to see a business from the originating transaction to the financial statements. This allows for realization of and leveraging for Strategy, Process Improvement and Change Management.
